【TIMBUK 2 / Tinback 2】
In 1989, in San Francisco, California, a single motorcycle messenger created the first 'Tin Buck 2' while fighting with one sewing machine.
His name is Rob Honeycut.
When he used his own messenger bag in the streets, people who are not messengers got to be asked frequently, "Where did you buy the bag?"
Rob who felt the possibility there, launched messenger bag company "Scumbags" and started selling.
The durability of the bag he made is a reputation in the blink of an eye among messengers.
In 1990, Rob felt that the company name "Scumbags" lacked the necessary reliability as a real bag company, and from the legendary African city "Timbuktu" and the popular indie band "Timbuk 3"
I changed it to the name "Timbuk 2 (Timbak 2)".
In 1994, Rob learned mass customization and manufacturer's philosophy of Toyota Motor Company, and announced three panel, a tricholor messenger bag which is a signature bag of "Timbuck 2".
The distinctive three-panel design and colorful variation, the swirl (swirl) logo that you can see at a glance eventually became the icon of San Francisco.

It is slim
There are plenty of height, but the width is quite slim. MB Pro 13 inches will enter just if you do not have a case. It is a good size feeling. Hook of the lid is magnet type, but it is like magnet + hook and it takes time and effort to set a little. It's a feeling that not only magnets but also hooks are used in conjunction with the force when carrying on the shoulder, but I think that the use feeling will improve if it can be seen only with a magnet somehow
Good backpack
Black buy, I thought inconveniently that there were no pockets in the main air chamber, but without problems if using a bag in bag. Comes with a 15-inch PC cover, B5 notebook, A4 document, books with thickness of 10 mm × 2, makeup pouch, charger related, long wallet, two portable phones, with margin. But it looks slim. The burden on the shoulder is light, and it is OK even if it rains. Rain cover is still unused. It is whitish and dirty easily attached to the slippery part of the main body, but if you wipe it will not be a problem. It is convenient if you get used to magnet opening and closing. The bottom pocket is very hard to put in and out, so it may be used only for valuables.
