ポリネシアのティアレはアカネ科でタヒチの国花です。ガーデニアの中でも最も有名で、爽快なアロマともなるティアレは「美」の象徴とされています。女性たちはそのエッセンシャルオイルから作られるモノイオイルを肌や髪につけ、輝きをあたえます。古代のレシピ“マホヒ”では、コプラオイルにティアレのつぼみを漬けてポリネシアの薬のベースとして使われたといわれています。純潔な白い花は、その鮮やかな緑の葉とは対照的で、優しい香りがします。

The Polynesian tiare, of the Rubiaceae family, is the national flower of Tahiti.Amongst the most famous gardenias, the tiare is deliciously aromatic and a symbolof beauty. Women coat their skin and hair with its essential oil monoi, with glowingeffect. Its ancient recipe “Mahohi”, obtained from the maceration of tiare buds inCoprah oil, is an essential base of Polynesian medicine. Its tree blooms into immaculatewhite flowers that contrast with the intense green of its leaves. The tiare’s suavescent is reminiscent of tuberose.
