The Tire and the Tube are two different parts to the bike. The Tire is the outer part, the part that you see. There are about four or five general types of tires, mountain bikes (MTB), hybrid bikes, road bikes, BMX bikes and kids bikes. Usually depending on bike usage, you rarely change the tire, even if you get a flat. The Tube is the inner part, the part you don't see and the the part that you have to pump air into. It is located inside of the tire and, depending on usage, is changed frequently because when you get a flat, this is the part you either need to patch or replace.
