1.How do you adjust watch length??

The tool has a long pin with a thicker handle. Set the band against a hard surface with the link hanging over the edge.
Set the pin against the link pin and gently strike the handle with a small hammer or other object.
This should push the pin out of the other side and eventually become loose enough to remove by hand. Repeat on the other link you wish to remove.
Then hold the links you wish to join together, insert the pin, set the link against a hard surface and gently tap to set the pin firmly in the link
