Okuma Metaloid 2 Speed Reels are small in size and lightweight. However, they pack some serious fish-fighting punch. Okuma makes this tough lever drag reel with 1pc frame and left sideplate construction. The frame and sideplates are machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum for long life and stiffness. Okuma cold forges and type II anodizes the spools for the Metaloid. Additionally, the entire reel receives a CRC coating process to inhibit corrosion. The Metaloid contains 4 corrosion-resistant stainless steel bearings, which results in longer life and easy maintenance. Okuma pre-greases each drag system with Cal's drag grease. The gears are 17-4 grade stainless steel, making them extremely durable. Cranking in big fish is a breeze thanks to the ergo grip handle and smooth, silent retrieve. This is a great reel for jigging, bottom fishing, or even light trolling.
