Himalayan salt is a natural product containing trace minerals that are also present in our bodies. The salt is mined by hand by skilled workers using traditional methods, so there's little to no pollution or waste byproducts from manufacturing.

- Salt is rich in minerals such as iodine, potassium and bromide. Usually, we get these by eating it. We are depleted of micro-elements because our water is polluted, our diet is bad. But micro-elements like bromide have a calming effect on the brain. If you are stressed out, you can become calm in a natural way.
- Salt is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. You start breathing slower and deeper as the salt opens up your bronchial airways. You breathe better and you feel better.

Rock Salt: A Natural Dehumidifier
Let’s start with a simple statement: one of the most effective materials for natural dehumidification is rock salt. Highly absorbent and good value for money, salt is a hygroscopic material. What this means is that it draws and stores water molecules from its surrounding environment, pulling excess moisture out of the air in a similar way to that of an electric dehumidifier. Other hygroscopic substances include sugar, honey, ethanol and methamphetamine, although none of those would be as effective and the latter is likely to be very expensive.
How does it work?
What you’ll need:
The Method
First you’ll need to drill some holes in the bottom and sides of one of your buckets. This is the top bucket and it will hold the rock salt. Place the bucket on top of your second bucket. This one will be used to collect excess water. Once stacked, pour your rock salt into the top bucket and place in the room or space that requires dehumidification. And that’s it, your own homemade dehumidifying solution!
