中 国民间崇拜的福神、禄星、寿星的合称。又称福禄寿三星。福——寓意五福临门，禄——寓意高官厚禄，寿——寓意长命百岁。据传福神原为岁星，即木星，后逐渐 人格化，一说源于五斗米道所祀三官中的天官，演化为天官赐福之说。一说福神为唐道州刺史阳城，因其有抵制进贡侏儒的善政，遂被尊为福神。禄星原为文昌垣的 第六星，后被赋予人格，附会为张仙。一说张仙为五代时在青城山得道的张远霄，一说为后蜀皇帝孟昶，即送子张仙。
寿翁亦始于星宿崇拜，即角、亢二宿，是二十八宿中东方七宿中的头二宿，为列宿之长，故曰寿。另一说为南极星，在船底座，故寿星亦名南极仙翁。明清以后民间 常将福禄寿三星一并奉祀，三星典型的形象为福星执如意居中；右为禄星，作员外打扮，怀抱婴孩；寿星在左，广额白须，捧桃执杖。 中国民间喜欢将三星作为礼仪交往和日常生活中象征幸福、吉利、长寿的祝愿。
