My 8.5yo daughter asked if we could look at bras, and after I got over the initial shock (LOL) I agreed. She doesn't need a bra, but I want her to have a positive association with "womanly things" and embrace the changes that puberty will bring. These crop bralettes were absolutely perfect - very comfortable, simple to put on, and easy wash/dry. IMO the sizing ran a bit small. I felt she wasn't quite ready to begin wearing bras; however, with white or thinner shirts I realized she was a little self-conscious. These are a great compromise.
