KDF 85/Catalytic GAC Cartridge for Plant Germination : A high quality media consisting of a mix of KDF 85 and Granular Activated Carbon (GAC). Designed to remove or reduce iron and hydrogen sulfide from municipal or other eater supplies. Also controls scale, bacteria and algae. The cartridge is used for the reduction of taste, odors and dissolved organic chemicals from water sources. The high surface area results in an exceptionally high capacity and efficiency. White cylinder housing with one 1/4 in. female pipe thread (FPT) connection port on each end. Easily connect any 1/4 inch Male Pipe Thread (MPT) connectors to each for convenient plumbing. Used in combination with activated carbon, KDF can significantly extend the life of filter cartridges.
