I purchased it because it's a lamp with an USB port. Mr. always charges his phone for the night. By me having a bigger nightstand table I would not recommend it for that purpose. I will soon replace it with a table lamp that will fit just right on my nightstand because of the size. I will be placing this lamp on my office desk. I love this lamp though.. The USB port comes in handy. While I was on another popular website, I saw this same type lamp with the USB port and thought they were such a great idea! However, I did not like the price on the other website ($40 each lamp). On a whim, I decided to check here on War-Mart's website to see if they also had lamps with USB ports. Obviously, they did! These lamps looked exactly like the more expensive ones from the other site. The 2 main differences were the price and these from Wal-Mart include the light bulb! How could I not buy these?!? These are exactly as described on here and look great in my bedroom. They are just tall enough to make a statement yet slim enough to not take over the entire nightstand. Since they have the USB port included, I don't have to worry about finding an outlet to charge my phone. Even after finally getting it peeled, there were still ugly sticky marks that stayed. If you can look past that, I would recommend the lamp itself.
