The Salton low speed juicer is a juice extractor that uses low-speed technology. It''s called low speed because it operates at only 80-90 rpm. The double-edged auger extracts the juice by masticating and slowly squeezing like a mortar & pestle compared to the 1,000 to 24,000 rpms in the typical centrifuge juicer which cuts and damages the food.
