2018 will mark 35 years since G-SHOCK first revolutionized timekeeping with its innovative toughness back in 1983. These new models mark this special occasion with striking G-SHOCK red colouring, which is made possible by using new technology covers them with a coating that has particles mixed in to produce diffuse light, and suppress colour and luster. The result is never-before-possible matte red colouring.

Even the LCD panels of these models incorporate red colouring to further enhance the G-SHOCK brand identity. The case back is impressed with a 35th Anniversary logo that was created in cooperation with well-known graphic designer Eric Haze, while the band ting is decorated with a group of stars representing the number 35.
