Cooper Knee Alignment Support is designed to reduce ACL injuries and knee problems in general. The Cooper Knee helps provide proper knee alignment while not restricting normal knee movements. The patent pending design includes numerous features to provide proper knee alignment, support muscle control. An adjustable anti-valgus strap reduces the amount of valgus alignment (knock-knee position). The integrated figure-eight patella sling assists with patella (kneecap) tracking and stability. The interior lining of the Cooper Knee features a silicone nub muscle stimulation matrix. The silicone nubs are strategically positioned to stimulate activation of the VMO (inner quads) medial hamstring areas. Studies have shown that weak medial quadriceps and hamstring muscles can increase the incidence of ACL tears. By activating these muscle groups they can help protect against knee injuries such as an ACL tear. The tubular knit technology of the knee support provides variable compression for optimal proprioceptive (joint position sense) feedback.
