1. Ready for long hauls cross-country, this fully-featured 40-liter backpack easily organizes all your gear and features a lay-flat 15-inch laptop compartment.
2. For maximum versatility, carry this pack as a horizontal briefcase-style bag, or slide this pack on the handles of your rolling luggage.

Size
1) The dimensions for this 40 liter backpack are 21 x 12 x 7 inch 53 x 30 x 18 cm. That is generally accepted as a carry-on size (for every airline I’ve flown on it’s been fine), but it’s always a good idea to check with your airline’s website and make sure.
2) The number one thing I love about this bag is that it is large enough to hold everything I need, but small enough to carry on the plane.
3) It has 3 large compartments which is perfect for me to pack everything I need to take with me; and when I say “large compartments” I mean LARGE.
4) The middle compartment is plenty big enough for me to fit all three of my packing cubes inside (very stuffed packing cubes).
5) This bag also has a zipper that you can zip open and it extends the bag another inch or two to fit even more inside.
6) I’m not super positive that it would be able to fit as a carry on with the extension though. Picture for comparison:
