The use of Horse oil can be traced back to the Japanese Edo Era, and the Chinese Ming Dynasty. The Chinese Compendium of Materia Medica documented Horse Oil’s repairing effects for freckles and dry cracking skin on the hands and feet. It’s restorative property is also known as a good remedy for soothing burns in Japan. 

Compared to other oils, Horse Oil is found to have better absorbance and high efficacy in repairing dehydrated cuticles.  It forms a protective layer on the skin to prevent moisture loss, boosting the skin’s defense against irritants in the environment while soothing itchiness and inflammation.
