It's a great addition. The look is distressed. Which I love. Also, it doesn't make that annoying ticking sound if your trying to nap on the sofa. Wayfair takes great pride in packaging their product. It has a very nice distressed look and for the price you can't beat it. A nice touch is the pendulum which shows thru the opening on the clock face, however it is not really part of the timekeeping mechanism as it swings faster than once per second.
