This pocket trumpet is constructed from yellow brass and features nickel silver tuning slides. Monel plated valves, which are not normally seen in pocket trumpets at this price range, provide durability and ease of action. A medium large .459-inch bore provides an ideal resistance that makes the horn easy to play by beginners or seasoned players. The compact size of the PT384 is obtained by wrapping the full length of tubing of a standard sized trumpet twice around the valve block, creating a smaller body without sacrificing the sound quality or performance.
