How does IPL work? The device targets the hair with intense pulsed light (IPL). The melanin pigments in the root of the hairs absorb the light and this creates heat. The light pulse deactivates the hair follicles deep down in the skin to prevent any further growth of the hair.

How Frequently Do I Need to Use the Beurer IPL Device? Regular application achieves the best results. If you are aiming at complete and permanent hair removal, you can already reduce your body hair by 50% after completing 3-4 treatments carried out every two weeks, followed by three treatments carried out every four weeks. Then apply as required. For facial treatments, you can achieve the best results with six treatments carried out every two weeks, followed by further treatments every four weeks. Skin Safe Sensor: Before each light pulse, the skin-type sensor measures the skin pigmentation. It will only work if there is a suitable skin pigmentation. The skin-contact sensor protects your eyes by ensuring that light pulses are only emitted when the light area is in full contact with your skin. The integrated UV filter also protects your skin from harmful rays.

Compact Size: Thanks to its compact design, the Beurer IPL device has a 3.1cm² light surface to pulse the light onto the hair, ideal for treating smaller areas of the body and aiding you to remove hair in those places. The devices includes one cartridge with 100,000 pulses.

Hair Growth Cycle: Please note that each hair on your body progresses through three phases of the hair growth cycle: the anagen phase (growth phase), the catagen phase (transitional phase) and the telogen phase (resting phase). Only hairs that are in the anagen phase respond to treatment with the device. Therefore, it is important to note that multiple treatments with the Beurer IPL device are needed to treat all hairs. A complete hair growth cycle is needed to achieve complete hair removal.
