The bottle says it is a day lotion with broad spectrum sunscreen SPF 30. The back of the bottle says to use every morning, smoothing gently over face, neck, and upper chest until fully absorbed. The product can be used alone or under makeup. I used it alone. The ingredients are then listed with the stated purpose being sunscreen, to prevent sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer and skin aging due to the sun. I did not recognize the ingredients. The usual warnings are listed which include external use only, keep out of eyes, do not use on broken/damaged skin, stop use if rash occurs, keep out of reach of children, and do not swallow. Use water to remove product. This lotion is made in the USA. I do have sensitive skin and did not get a rash from this product. There was a very slight burn. I had a little tan from a recent trip to Mexico but this lotion did not enhance it as advertised. I wore it for significant sun exposure while moving 2 tons of rock and 4 yards of soil into a new garden area and the SPF 30 works like any sunscreen. I did like that the product is dispensed in a pump style bottle and you do need several pumps to do the entire face. What I did not like about this product is that it's greasy and thick. I had wrongly assumed because it is claiming to be a moisturizer that it would feel less like a cheap sunscreen and more like a face product. It did not. The worst part of the product for me is the overwhelming clinical scent of citronella. You will smell like a mosquito candle - it's not even remotely pleasant. I gave it 3 stars because the sunscreen works, but the scent and texture of the product are not to my liking.
