This is a tooth from the prehistoric carnivore CAVE BEAR. Included with the fossil is a nice glass-topped display box. The tooth measures approximately 1 3/4 inches in length. The cave bear (Ursus spelaeus) was a species of bear that lived in Europe during the Pleistocene and became extinct at the beginning of the Last Glacial Maximum about 24,000 years ago.
