During the construction and renovation of historic Rogers Alley in the early part of this century, a strange noise similar to a voice was heard late at night. The voice sounded as if it were saying, ''heat, heat, bring on the heat.'' Was it a cold soul or someone looking for more flavor in their hot sauce?
