Make authentic katsuo dashi udon (udon noodles with a bonito fish stock soup) in no time using these pre-cooked udon noodles with mild soy sauce flavoured bonito soup stock. Containing three individual servings of thick and chewy pre-cooked udon noodles and three sachets of umami-rich bonito stock soup seasoned with mild soy sauce, these noodles are a conveniently quick and easy way to enjoy a classic of Japanese cuisine.
Background
Udon are among the most widely enjoyed noodles in Japan. Udon are normally much thicker than other Japanese noodles such as soba and ramen, with a distinct chewy texture to them that makes them particularly ideal for enjoying with denser, thicker sauces. How To Use
Bring 300ml of water to the boil. Add one pack of udon noodles and heat for two minutes while loosening.
Add one sachet of bonito stock soup and boil for a further minute.
Transfer to a bowl and garnish with green onions, mushrooms, or other desired toppings.
