A wonderful combination of aromatic firewood from the Southwest, USA. We have blended two of the Southwest's well-known woods - pinon & juniper, into a 3 cubic foot box that will provide warmth and fragrance for you, your family, and friends. The fragrance of pinon & juniper, especially when burned, is unmistakable. Pinon wood is a favorite of most chiminea, fireplace and stove owners, for it's pleasant "pine aroma", which helps to repel mosquitoes and other flying insects. It keeps an active flame, produces good heat, and burns well with other woods. The juniper is also a great-smelling wood, and brings to mind a desert campfire in the Navajo country. It crackles a fair bit but burns hot and with great colors too. Bugs seem to like the aromatic qualities of juniper smoke even less than pinon wood. All our boxed firewood is "heat-treated" according to Usda certification standards. Bugs are killed and much of the moisture in the wood is removed. Log lengths of 16" are packed into an 18" x 18" x 18" box that contains 3 cubic feet of firewood and weighs about 80 lbs.
