The snare wire for a 14 Inches dynasonic snare drum has 16 strands, an overall length of 13 1/4 Inches, and a strand length of 12 1/8 Inches (including the soldered area on each end-plate). Both end-plates have a 1/4 Inches hole in the center for attachment of the wire to the strainer frame via a screw.
