Why is the actual capacity shown on the memory card being different from the capacity reported on my computer?
Ans:
Because for ALL memory cards, the stated value of 1GB is actually 1,000,000,000 bytes so for eg. 32GB it will be 32,000,000,000 bytes. And all computer devices will report 1KB as 1024 bytes and 1MB as 1024x1024 bytes as such when u divide 32,000,000,000 by (1024x1024x1024) , computer system will report the capacity as 29.8GB

where it will state the following:
1 Megabyte (MB) = 1,000,000 bytes; 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1,000,000,000 bytes; 1TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes
The capacity calculation applies to ALL memory cards eg. SanDisk/Samsung/Toshiba
