Via Del Condotti leads off into the ancient city center from the foot of the Spanish Steps. This is not only one of the richest streets in Italy but also one of the best for shopping in Rome. The Spanish Steps are constructed using 138 steps that are a mix of curved and straight flights， vistas， and terraces. During the 18th century， the Spanish Steps became a meeting place for both artists and poets， and today is where local and tourists all come to take in views overlooking the city.
