It is both durable and washable. The seat is made of a wood composition that offers comfort, warmth and durability. The rest of the seat is hand sanded giving it an ultra-smooth surface. Under the lid and ring are coated with a superior quality white glossy paint finish. The hinges are a sturdy and attractive chromed metal. The seat is elongated, fitting toilets that measure 18.5 inches from the front of the bowl to the center of the mounting holes at the back of the bowl. Installation hardware is included.
