It wasn't really designed to play with, although it's sturdy enough to carry around and can be handled by kids. I would even say it's sturdier than Brickbeard's bounty. The only weak part on it is the bow, so you just have to be careful with the anchor and generally the front of the ship. Only advanced builders will be able to put this together, so if you're thinking of getting this for your child or if you're a kid and you want this you had better recruit a parent to help out! It will take a lot of patience. Overall, any Lego fan will love this set. It's got plenty of color and detail to entertain fans of all ages. Value wise, I'm not sure why it's so expensive at Walmart as they usually have the best prices on Legos. This may be a mistake on their part because the MSRP of this set is a lot lower. I loved putting this one together and the result was a very nice model. The deck comes off in two pieces to access the lower deck area and the floor of the command area lifts off to access the captains quarters. I love the details and design. The price is a little steep but when you finish you will think you got your moneys worth. Make sure you block out enough time to do this and that you have a large enough place to put it when finished.
