Fault-Finder
(Group 1)




Certified low in chlorine and sulfur-bearing solvents. Group 1 was developed specifically for testing materials where halogenated safety solvents are not permitted.


Uses:
Use on metals, glass and plastic to reveal material faults.



Application:
Pre-clean parts or surface with #1071 Cleaner. Apply a heavy wet film and let soak. Wipe clean and repeat as necessary. Dry thoroughly before using Penetrant. Spray #1072 Penetrant on area and allow to soak, up to 20 minutes. Remove while still damp. Wet a cloth with #1071 Cleaner and wipe surface to remove surface Penetrant. Excess Penetrant may distort test indications. Shake #1073 Developer thoroughly until agitator ball rattle. Apply Developer holding can 8" to 12" from surface. Developer may be applied immediately after excess penetrant has been removed, but not longer than 10 minutes prior to visual inspection. Cracks, pores, and faults will now be outlined in RED. Invert can and spray momentarily to clean spray head

in step #1 of the Fault-Finder non-destructive test system.  Use to pre-clean the part to be tested.






1072 Penetrant
Use
in step #2 of the Fault-Finder non-destructive test system to apply the penetrating fluid to the part to be tested.






1073 Developer
Use in step #3 of the Fault-Finder non-destructive test system to reveal any defects on the part being tested.
