I did a lot of research on this microphone and it is highly rated at many music-tech retailers like sweetwater.com I could not believe I found this at walmart.com, and for a price that beats all the other retailers. This mic has 4 different sound pattern settings, which means you can record pretty much anything you want from any angle. Its also USB, so it does not require a great deal of extra sound equipment and works smoothly with audio editing software like audacity. I use this microphone with Audacity software and WavePad Sound Editor. This microphone is great for voice overs, skype chats, and works well with ANY webcamera. I'll admit I was nervous that Walmart.com delivery was going to be disappointing (based on reviews online). Surprisingly, my microphone came three before it was estimated! High Five Walmart and Fedex! Anyway, when this mic is pretty much plug and play with your laptop (both pc and mac). I have a pc (windows 8). Just a heads up, to set the Yeti Microphone as the default mic, make sure you go into your control panel, devices/hardware. It will specifically say Yeti (stereo) set that as the default external.
