What is Fair Usage Policy?

'Unlimited' service is not always without limits. The limits are set with a Fair Usage Policy, which is a set of rules that impose a threshold on the amount of minutes, data, bandwidth used by users of a service. This is a measure from most operators to prevent abuse, hogging either intentionally or non-intentionally which will result in a congestion or other issues which may cause the other services to suffer service level drop.

Users are advised to take note of the data limit capped by the service providers e.g Mobile Network Operator (MNO) Fair Usage Policy (FUP) in each country. The MNO implements a voice or data limit to the user when their network or facilities become overload and this limit varies in different countries.
The user may probably experience slower data speed or temporarily idle for a while.
