Venue: Innovation Lab By LEGO Education, KidsStop Science Centre, 21 Jurong Town Hall Rd, Singapore 609433

Course details
Participants will be introduced to the basics of the LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 platform. This course will cover the basic forms of movement, with tasks and clear objectives for each session, ensuring your children comprehend the basics and are ready to progress to more advanced EV3 courses and projects. Participants will also be introduced to the main sensors available for the EV3 platform and learn how to incorporate them into their robot’s program.
*Participants will be awarded a certificate upon completion of the course.

Key Learning Values
The LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 Core Set lets students design and build programmable robots using high quality motors, sensors, gears, wheels, axles, and other technical components. By using hands-on robotics, students will gain a better understanding of how technology works in real world applications.
The solution enables students to understand and interpret two-dimensional drawings to create three-dimensional models; build, test troubleshoot and revise designs to improve robot performance; Gain practical, hands-on experience using mathematical concepts such as estimating and measuring distance, time and speed.
About LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3

Visit www.innovationlab.sg to check out what other LEGO Education Workshops we offer!
LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 enables students to build, program, and test their solutions based on LEGO building bricks and real-life robotics technology.
Through hands-on learning, LEGO MINDSTORMS Education EV3 will enable students to: understand forces and motion; graph and interpret rotation sensor data; develop robots capable of complex thinking using logical structures and sensor feedback; understand that complex systems are created from subsystems; and design, build and program a fully-functioning robotic system.
Students can program their creations using an intuitive drag and drop interface that allows them to evolve simple commands into complex algorithms.
Bring experiments to life by setting threshold values for sensors, and assigning them actions, such as programming them to make a sound when a certain temperature is detected by the sensor.
The built-in content editor enables teachers to customize the curriculum and create their own lessons. It enables students to capture their work directly inside the software creating their own digital workbook, making classroom management and assessment easier.
The software is based on National Instruments LabVIEW™, the industry-leading graphical system design software used by scientists and engineers worldwide.
All courses are capped at a maximum of 10 participants.
