Adopt HD coating which is advanced anti-reflection technology, water repellent / oil repellent, scratch prevention SP coating for all line up.

A good depiction of sharpness, deeply shaded color, and a pleasant operation feel stimulate shooting motivation.

PENTAX's antireflection technology revolution, HD coating

Optical technology that forms a special thin film on the lens surface and suppresses the reflection of light, that is the coating.

The coating not only reduces the loss of light but also contributes to suppression of flare and ghosting, color balance correction, and enhances lens performance.

In coating design, the important thing is film thickness.

However, conventional methods of forming thin films by vacuum evaporation have limitations in controlling the film thickness, which has caused the effect to vary.

With HD coating, unique film forming equipment and process, film thickness manufacturing error is reduced to 1/3 of conventional.

We realized the film thickness control close to the theoretical value in the coating design and realized low reflection of 50% or less compared with the past.

For more convenient auto focus, quick shift focus system

When focusing with autofocus, the focus ring for manual operation is generally fixed.

Fine adjustment is possible because the focus ring is not fixed even in such a quick shift focus system.

More than anything, if you turn the focus ring before you shut the shutter, it is professional and cool! HD PENTAX - DA Limited series is installed in all lineup.

A lens that can express natural, soft, beautiful blur taste

We adopted a circular stop for the entire lineup.

Illumination and other point light sources will not be in an unnatural form and subjects can be complemented with beautiful blurred taste.

Also, by setting the aperture blades to an odd number of 7 or 9, we are suppressing blurring of striped light, which is anxious when narrowing down.

High quality materials and finishing

Of course the lens barrel and the cap and hood are aluminum alloy scraping out.

Combined with the functional design that expresses the essence of the lens, coupled with the condensed luxurious feeling unique to metallic materials, comfortable feel and weight, we will raise our feelings every time we take it in our hands.

Also, distance scales etc. are digging in all and coloring painting.

It is difficult to peel off the printing, it is a finish that withstands long-term use.
