Ignition probe is an inductive capacitance probe， it must be equipped with the oscilloscopeUsed in combination， is used to test one of the spark ignition overlap wave， secondary overlap wave parameters， so as to achieve the detection， the diagnostic engine ignition state， so that each cylinder of the ignition voltage changes over time be visually displayed on the oscilloscope.
The pick-up line three ends with a BNC connector connected to the oscilloscope， a ground clip， a pickup clip then high-voltage lines. Pickup clip over a attenuator for the pickup of the high attenuation of the low-pressure， thereby protecting the oscilloscope against electric shock.
If your oscilloscope is used the MCX interface， for example (DS0201 DS203) need a turn BNC adapter MCX
Note:1.The test clip should not be directly sandwiched in the spark plug should be sandwiched between the wires connected to a spark plug insulation， to prevent the breakdown and cause an electric shock.2. To distance the other ignition the distance of at least 2 inches， to avoid interference.3. HT25A attenuation of up to 5000:1; HT25B dominant line 2 m long， attenuation of up to 10，000:1.
