The Full Knee Helix is the ideal Helix for compression and comfort of the total knee because of our unique material and absence of migration. We are advising the Full Knee Helix when compression of the entire knee is recommended. This outstanding Helix is excellent for sprains and injuries including minor sprains to the medial and lateral stabilising knee ligaments.
Also, comfort with compression is achieved for minor meniscus, anterior and posterior knee or patellar injuries. If you have had surgery on your knee at any time, either an open or laparoscopic procedure, our Full Knee Helix is advised to provide uniform support to the injured tissues.
Proper fit is important. It is very important to measure your knee at the knee cap in order to get the proper fit. Please do not measure your thigh.
What size should I get if I am right in the middle? As a general rule, there is increased comfort when the Helix is selected on body structure. If you are a lean, muscular athlete, you will want the smaller of the two sizes.
If you are not quite so lean, the larger of the two sizes will be slightly more comfortable. However, we have athletes who do not fit the general rule but prefer a smaller or larger size based purely on comfort.
