The Mother's Corn range is similar to melamine in weight but texture wise the products are smooth, brightly coloured & toddler friendly. Each of the Mother's Corn products is made of PLA (poly lactic acid) processed from corn starch & are also BPA free. I found handy about the meal plate, breakfast time in our house can be one warm Weetbix with honey, a piece of buttered toast & fruit, accompanied by a hot chocolate. Usually the girls would get this in one bowl with a side plate, but with the Mother's Corn plate I was able to use just the one piece. One plate, one thing to wash, but a happy & well fed baby discovering the joy of choice & independence!?
