Description
Curry Kapitan is chicken curry with a Peranakan twist. This Little Nyonya Curry Kapitan paste yields a quick and easy yet delicious version of the dish. A blend of lime leaves, tamarind, lemongrass, onion, chilli and coconut milk, this mild curry goes well with white or brown rice.

You will need
1 pack of Curry Kapitan Paste (250g)
1.25kg chicken
Chopped fresh onions and spring onions (for garnish)
60ml coconut milk (optional)
- Fry chicken with Curry Kapitan paste for 10 minutes.
- Add 90ml water and simmer on low flame until chicken softens.
- Add 1/2 tsp of salt.
- Add coconut milk (optional)
- Garnish with chopping fresh onion and spring onion and serve. Makes 5 portions.
Storage tips
Store any unused portions in an airtight container for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
Can be kept in the freezer for up to a month.
