Why organic beeswax? Because bees travel great distances in search of nectar and pollen, only a region with vast areas of wild land untouched by commercial farming, pesticides and harmful chemicals can be certified organic. This is why it's important to use organic beeswax from a pristine environment.
Bees in developed countries are plagued by pesticides and contaminants, while Zambian bees continue to thrive in our beautiful forests. We support a Zambian program which has organically certified an entire region, allowing our beekeepers to become some of the first in the world to receive an organic certification.
Fair Trade is about more than fair wages. Working with beekeepers, farmers and young entrepreneurs we are creating viable economic alternatives to destructive logging and mining. Together, we are not simply bringing jobs and income into rural Zambian villages, we are investing in their communities and future. As a Fair Trade Federation Member, we are committed to fair trade. Our Organic honey and beeswax is Fair Trade certified and we are proudly able to report that the 1,196 farmers in our co-op have been able to more than quadruple their incomessince our project started.
