At first, I was afraid they would fall apart easily and would be rough, but I have been pleasantly surprised. These rugs are very soft and have held up through two washings on the gentle cycle. They have a type of stitching instead of the binding that the other rugs had, but they are still holding together very well. I love the color! It's not the dark purple that the other brands are. I like these so much, there are two in each bathroom and I even bought some to put down on the cold ceramic tile floor on both sides of my bed. The non slip backing makes it a better choice than a traditional rug that just slid all over the tiles. I had liked the color and the rug was very plush and soft and felt very nice on foot. But, today when I washed the rug, the rug got discolored to light purple and has some brown patches too. So, you should wash before using the rug to see the true color. The extra length allows your feet enough room. The description is 19.5 X 34 but the photo is of a countour rug. Walmart needs to clarify this. I paired this up with the larger 23 X 39 rug and the InterDesign Leaves Shower Curtain, which made my small bathroom really shine.
