Fenistil Gel is a fantastic product used against things like insect bites, itching, sunburn, nettle rash and mild burns. It is used to soothe the area and has antihistamine and anti-allergic effects. Fenistil blocks H1-Histamine receptors, which lowers the permeability of capillaries leading to less itching. It actually does a very effective job and has worked very well with my main use of Fenistil with insect bites. As well as protecting against an allergic reaction, Fenistil also protects the area and reduces your urge to excessively scratch the area, causing more damage.

It has a wide range of uses so is very useful to keep around the house and take on holiday with you. You never know when it may come in handy! I have personally used it for insect bites and sunburn, and it has done a good job with the bites but nothing too noticeable for the sunburn. It isn't practical to spread this all over your body for sunburn, but is useful for your face. This gel is only for extrinsic use, so don't stick it in your mouth for ulcers or anything!
