Unlike many other crystals, fluorite was valued in medieval times as much for its industrial applications as its physical beauty. Although the stone was originally used in smelting, it is today prized for its brilliant appearance. This stone has mystified many with its fluorescence. Many samples seem to glow under an ultraviolet light, in fact the word fluorescent is derived from fluorite. Fluorite is one of the most diverse stones. Fluorite occurs in many different colors. Blues, purples, and greens can all occur in the same deposit and even on the same stone. Each individual stone also has its own unique pattern and level of opacity. Fluorite is associated with the (6th) third eye chakra.

Each lot of these stones comes in a velvet pouch for protection and easy carrying. Our fluorite comes in many colors including green, clear, and purple. Many of the pieces have a rainbow coloring or mixes or many shades and colors in one piece. Stone sizes vary due to roughness of the stones and range from half and inch to two inches.
