This 5 piece set of graving or engraving chisels are handmade by a highly respected tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic, are of the highest quality and are designed for professional carvers. Blades are made of Chrome-Vanadium tool steel and heat treated to a hardness of 61-62 HRc. The edges are hand sharpened and lapped with abrasive paste and an Arkansas stone. Handles are stained and waxed European Beech wood. Set included a 4 mm (3/16'') flat chisel, 3 mm (1/8'') gouge, 6 mm (1/4'') gouge, 8 mm (3/8'') gouge, and 3 mm V tool. Blades are 70 mm (2 7/8'') long and handles are 82 mm (3 3/8'') long x 40 mm (1 5/8'') in diameter. Handle have a flat on the back to prevent rolling off the bench. These chisels are designed to be used with hand pressure only.
