Specification:The tube made of hard composition board which is ¼ inch thick, so it is not too heavy, but certainly sturdy enough. Inside we use a metal prism (in contrast with a mirror prism used in cheap kaleidoscopes).
The eyepiece is made of safe acrylic glass and protected by natural wood.
The mirror has a reflecting surface made of metal because glass mirrors lose brightness, and the light dissipates. The metal prism creates brighter images.
The colored pieces inside are made of real glass, not from plastic pieces, which are dimmer.
