For example I put it on in the morning and by evening time I'm really dark. The only advice I have is rub it in VERY well. The first time I used it I just rubbed it in like you normally would rub in a lotion... the next day I noticed several dark spots where it obviously hadn't been rubbed in quite enough. So during application make sure you rub longer than you normally would for lotion. It doesn't look like other gradual tanners I have used because it comes out brown like a tanning salon lotion and not like the other gradual tanners. It is not advertised as a gradual tanner. If you want a great bronze tan, this is by far the best affordable tanner out there. As stated on the bottle, you should apply like a lotion but rub in circular motions so you don't get streaks. If you follow the directions thoroughly, you will get the perfect tan. I applied it once, rubbed it in as well as I could and was satisfied with the color and slight shimmer it leaves on my skin. I applied it again 2 days later (not that I needed to, just experimenting :P), and fell in love even more. It didn't turn my hands orange, but I think that's because I apply it to my legs, wash my hands, apply it to my arms/body, and wash my hands again. My only problem with it is after a week or so, I noticed it faded away a little "spotty" with uneven skin tones, but they weren't super noticeable anyway. I wasn't sure if it would work for me without turning orange. I been diagnosed with skin cancer because of going to tanning beds to get the tan that everyone loves to have. I love this lotion!! It gives you the tan just like you walked out the tanning bed. It is a great tan without getting the cancer. My first experience putting the lotion on I got it on the palm of my hands and it made them look orange other than that everything was great.
