With a sleek, durable aluminum chassis, and high-speed USB 3.0 interface, Mercury Pro delivers reliable performance that matches its good looks. It's cooler, quieter, and better than ever. The new Mercury Pro is plug-and-play compatible with both Mac and PC workflows, making it your versatile premium optical drive. With high-speed USB 3.0 connectivity, playback of optical media, data transfer, and archive all happen as fast as possible, with bandwidth to spare. M-DISC sets the standard for long-term safe data storage, and the new Mercury Pro supports this revolutionary format, making it the ideal solution for reliable long-term backup and archiving. M-DISC is an archival-quality storage solution that protects your data from degradation and loss for 1,000 years or more. M-DISCs use a proprietary layer made from inorganic, rock-like material for permanent data storage, protected from data rot and extremes of light, humidity and temperature change. Because the M-DISC ready Mercury Pro engraves the data into this layer, write once and read forever. Like all OWC drives, the Mercury Pro is built to the highest standards of reliability and performance. Because our goal is always 100% reliability, it's rigorously quality tested, and backed by our 1 year warranty and 24/7.
