This Big Blue polypropylene string wound filter cartridge is 5 micron and designed for heavy duty uses when filtering out large sediment. This filter cartridge measures 4 1/2'' in diameter and 20'' in length. Our Pentek Big Blue Polypropylene string wound filter cartridges are comprised of a cotton, polypropylene and glass fiber that meet FDA requirements for application in food grade fluids. Basic use is as a pre-filter for R.O. membranes, but will work for filtering water, alkali, dilute acid and solvents, potable liquids, petroleum oils and mineral acids.
