I bought a full/queen for my queen bed and it fits perfectly . I think a king size woukd be way to big for a queen bed. The quilt is perfect for fall. It has a nice thickness to it . You may need an extra blanket in the winter. It came out of the packing soft , I washed it in cold water but I did not need to use fabric softer. It looks beautiful on the bed , I'm buying another one for my daughters queen size bed.
