It also covers a wide area, the fixture is about 24" wide. When clamped to your work surface it can swivels and therefore light multiple adjacent work areas. Just swing it to where you need it for task lighting. I'm spoiled I want one at all of my work spaces. If it does not stop after a reasonable break in period I intend to return it for replacement.
