It hurt to even walk. I tried everything from lotions to ointments, none of which worked at all. ointments healed but didn't stop the symptons. The lotions helps the skin but didn't heal the wounds.Through mail I got some aquaphor and began to use it. It was a very little later I was able to walk on my feet again. The healing was such a huge relief. Now I don't deploy without it.Was this review helpful?Yes (85)No (5)Reportmay help control psoriasis6/3/2009Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews6/3/2009by Denver27I've had severe problems with psoriasis for over 40 years. My skin is a wreck from applying topical steroids and related prescription and non-prescription products daily or twice a day. At age 60, I bruise easy, like an elderly person. In the past year, I've found that daily use of very modest amounts of the $10 135-gram Rx for Betamethasone Dipropionate followed by applying Aquaphor Healing Advanced Therapy has enabled me to deal more effectively with psoriasis than any other topical treatment. Actually, I skip the Rx for B.D. about half the time on certain areas ... every day is different, based on how bad the psoriasis looks. Caution: always apply ointment using downward motion, to avoid blocking pores which can lead to serious skin infection. Application is easier if using a new popsicle stick each day to transfer some Aquaphor to a new, folded index card. This prevents contaminating the jar of Aquaphor with germs on your fingers, and working the ointment on the index card using your finger helps to control the amount of grease that you rub onto your skin. I suspect the Aquaphor is good by itself for many things, and suspect it significantly augments prescription topicals when applied over them. Was this review helpful?Yes (68)No (2)ReportGreatStuff!12/31/2008Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews12/31/2008by BabySoftI was told about this product, 6 years ago, by a nurse aide in a convalescent home. At first I thought it was another hipe of Vaseline, but boy was I wrong. I have horribly dry skin, and live in dry climate. Apply it on after your shower or bath, and apply it on those dry feet for sure. All other lotions were not doing the trick for me. It will feel like you are applying just grease, but wait. It absorbs well and will make even the driest skin feel subtle. It last all day too! It's a little pricey, but it's worth it. Consider how many times, through out the day, you apply some lotions, and you're probably spending about the same. This is a God-send.Was this review helpful?Yes (65)No (7)ReportGreat product11/28/2013Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews11/28/2013by p ?Verified purchaser ?Top 1000 contributerThis is very effective for dry, sensitive skin or skin with a rash. It feels a little sticky (not a cream, more like an ointment texture) but it does absorb and if applied at bedtime, you will find much improved skin when you wake up. It helps stop itching, and does not stain clothing. Was this review helpful?Yes (39)No (3)ReportA great Product1/31/2009Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews1/31/2009by needed2helpI was told about this product while undergoing radiation therapy.
