Okay now that my friendly eco-rant is out of the way; here's the deal with our Bklyn Steel food jar. Before we designed this thermos we tried just about every thermos we can get our hands on. Truth is, there are some good food jars out there. The problem was while some food jars had cool features that we liked; they were missing other critical features. Simple Solution - We combined all the things we liked from the pile of foods jars we sampled and made (in our humble opinion) the very best food jar. Here's all the things we mashed into one food jar: •Best Vacuum Insulated Technology - we lined the inner stainless steel wall with Copper; this creates a superior Thermal Insulation. •A Wide Mouth which makes it easier to fill, eat from, and clean. •A Removable Rim that covers the stainless steel's top rim; so when drinking straight from the thermos your mouth (lips / teeth) does not come into contact with metal (some folks really LOVE this feature). •100% Leak-Proof - as crazy as it sounds, some food jars we tested leaked. •Easy To Clean - best to hand wash with warm soapy water. That said, its upper-rack dishwasher safe for when you just don't feel like dealing. •No Condensation - The double wall, vacuum seal keeps the food jar from feeling warm or cold when holding it.
